The old gentleman that cut my hair sported a perfect flat top. I asked him once who cut his hair and he told me his wife did since ever since they got married. Said he didn't trust anyone else to cut his hair and her early mistakes were corrected early on.
He was typical old school, could talk on most any subject but was wise enough to stay quiet and take his time when shaving you and let you enjoy the experience.

My wife always used to tease me for getting cheap $15 haircuts at the cheap chain. She gets $200 haircuts from someone she’s been going to for quite awhile. Then she showed me a picture and I said holy shite she is hot as F (not a lie) can I start going there for now on? She said nah, you’re good, I think what you’ve been doing is great.

haven't been to a barber in 35years and my hair grows like a chia pet full head of hair.I cut my own.

I trust a gay man cutting my hair 100x more than a woman.

I cut my own. It blows my friend's and family's minds.

I buzz it with a #2 about every 18 months. The longest period being just over 2 years and shoulder length. Then right back to a #2 buzz.

It's always funny when I make a new friend and it catches them by surprise.
