Taking the bus to work

Is it really that trashy? Trying to save money right now, and I always enjoyed taking the bus as a teenager and visiting with the other passengers, but I know that public transportation is looked down upon by a lot of snob baws on the OT lounge.

Where do you work?
I know plenty of well to do uptowners who take the magazine street bus or street car into work downtown.
