Has anyone said Collete's? Collete's.

Act surprised when you get there, but judge the GF's reaction...report back.

I think starting the day off at the Country Club and ending at Collette's would be a nice family outing

Seriously, if you can't have fun there I don't know what to tell you.

To most people who don't have fun there, I say "oh, you live in NOLA, too?"

Sneak them into Vaughan's in the Bywater on a Thursday night to hear Kermit Ruffins. If you can't sneak them in, let them listen outside the bar and eat BBQ from the guy with the grill outside. Wednesdays in the Park is another great event to take them to as it's all ages and free.

Kermit's not playing Vaughn's anymore and Wednesday at the square is out of season - otherwise, good advice.

When did Kermit stop playing Vaughan's? I saw him there last summer and that's what I was going to do the weekend of my birthday since LSU baseball's on the road that weekend.

Kermit has his own venue now.

Wed at the Square should be releasing their spring schedule soon. I love that series.

Even though he plays at his speakeasy, he was still giggin' at Vaughan's on thursdays last summer. This is saddening. I guess I'll have to catch him and the BBQ Swingers at Bullets or his Speakeasy from now on. As long as the old guy with the BBQ pit is there, it still sounds like a good time to me.

I regret not taking advantage of these. I think I've been to one.

Beignets are always a good start at the cafe du monde. Gets drinks and wander towards the French market. Get more drinks On the way at Margaritaville. Eat some good fried pickles & snacks there.

Browse & drink. Walk on over to port o call. Drink monsoons. Eat burgers. Wander back down bourbon st. Go in and out any interesting places. Watch street performers. Buy more drinks. Harass the Christians.

It's not rocket surgery to have fun in the 1/4.

It's going to suck for them unless they get drunk.

Kermit wanted to cut the late shows, allegedly Vaughn's did not want it to be an early set. Corey Henry took over the time slot - good band.
