Any advice or tips I should know going in? I read some Quizlet stuff, but found YouTube less helpful than I thought it would be.

That is why I'm not very worried. I just hate going in blind knowing that it is something that I have to pass it.

Google the common literary works that are commonly tested on that test. From that (long) list pick 15-20 that you've read and are familiar with. Write out the symbolism, theme, imagery, etc for each one (use google to help if it's been a long time since you've read it). You will be guaranteed to get at least one on your list when you get to the test. I had 3 on my list that I had prepared for. I was like you and waited until the last minute. I passed with a ridiculously high score. I wrote about To Kill a Mockingbird. I can't remember other options on the list. Maybe Animal Farm?

Wife took it today. She said it was all classroom situation questions and nothing on the actual curriculum of the subject.

Just make sure you pass, sometimes when I hear people failed I wonder how.
However, I recently did the middle school Social Studies one and holy crap. History from the beginning or time to present day. Was a lot of information

If you are white and fail the test the second time you take it mark yourself as a minority.

Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just trying to help

Maybe so, all I know is Praxis for English and Speech. She took it at an office in Metairie near Causeway.

Ah, idk. There's a lot of Praxis tests. I've never struggled with anything besides some math, so I think I'll be fine. Just anxious.

The down votes are interesting. Suppose I should have opened with a hyperbolic story.

I have a first cousin who has failed multiple times. She was teaching but needed to pass the exam to keep her job...Fired.
My wife passed on the first try.

That's the final praxis a teacher had to take at the end of certification process.

Are you taking both parts of the test in one day? Multiple choice and written?
