Anyone have any recommendations? Have heard negative things about "By Louis" so looking for somewhere else.

I use Le Tailor & Alterations on Hwy 22 in Mandeville. They do great work. I've brought over 30 items there, including 3 suits, and I have zero complaints.

There was an alterations place by the state police building on 190. It may have closed down in the last few years. That's all I got

Take it to Pro Cleaners on 59 by the old gas station that has absolutely not a fricking item on the shelf and makes you pay for gas with cash only, but hasn't had gas in 2015 but still has its doors open. Ask for Ian at Pro Cleaners. I don't know his wife's name, but Ian is of Far Eastern descent and they both work the place from 6:30AM to 6:00 PM. Ian is good people and will take care of you.

Another vote for Le in Mandeville. He's done several suits for me perfectly.
