only your big fan pushes all that much. if you were to upgrade to two industrial fans that honda wouldnt push it.
Ive also run a 36" fan and an extra 32" TV on same generator

Then OP can just get two of them. They are fuel efficient and quiet as all get out.
without knowing if that is an option for him monetarily then yeah sure he could do that.

Our next tailgate purchase may be something like this. I'm sure it's not cheap at all. Right now we run 2 5500 but i think we could get away with 1 5500 and 1 honda 3000.
eventually maybe get it to 2-3 3,000s. It's 3 generator vs 2 but 3 of those honda vs 2 big dogs is no comparison. Give me the 3 honda any day.
I could go for that. Those two beasts that we use now are a pain sometimes. Plus, with the Hondas we could actually have them near the tailgate since they're so quiet.
But that's a pretty penny though.

If the guy is bringing out two tvs sound system and all that jazz, I'm making the assumption that money is not lacking.

Tail Gate Generator Recomendation
do your best to find a quiet one! Just because you stick it behind your vehicle and muffle it from your own tailgate doesn't mean its not bothering other people.

yeah 3 3,000s is like 6 grand.

He could be bringing stuff from home that he's already bought. 2k might not be much to you, but it's nothing to sneeze at for me. And i bring that kind of stuff out.

are you saying you have run 2 fans of this size at once plus your tvs on that generator?

watts
shop fan- 735/650
2x 42"plasma tvs- 480
2x10" speakers- 600
total- 1730 watts
that is just some goggled #'s, and you probably will not use all the speaker Watts
I have a ryobi 2200 (1800 RMS) and I have ran 1700 watts bowfishing and it did fine. it was running wide open , but it pushed it all night.
if possible, get something a little bigger so you dont put such a heavy load on the generator. also, i hear inverter generators put out cleaner power, which is good for laptops, TV's etc...

My everyday setup was as stated. occasionally we also add a 36" industrial fan and a 32" TV as well on my 2000, and never had a issue. I have a backup kipor 1000 and never had to use it. Now the Honda isnt go to be as quiet running max load not that its that loud. But Ive never had an issue with my needs.
With the 2k's you can also link them as well. The 2k is a little easier to transport than the 3k's
You can get 4000 watts for the same price as the 3

Ok. But if you added a big fan it would trip. No question.

Yeah that's a good feature for sure.

Another must have for tailgating. We run several of these. You would be amazed at how well these little guys do. You can run one off the other and so on.

You realize a 36" industrial fan is pretty big, dont you? Thats not height including pedestal. its a floor fan. A lot of people would consider it a "shop fan" really the other two sizes for shop fans are 42 and 48. Im also using a 24" industrial as well. Like stated, never had an issue

also, keep in mind, size your generator to your needs....not what is the best value. If you only run it at 20% load, it will wet stack and you will have to buy a new one anyway. Try to be 50-70% load for the best longevity.
