If you aren't following The History Guy on youtube you should think about doing so.

TACA 110 flight that had an emergency landing in New Orleans East.

That 737 was sold to Southwest and used for regular service until 2016.

I haven't really found one of his talks that don't pull me in. Even the stuff I didn't think would interest me.

It was practically brand new when deliver to TACA.


The captain was a former fighter pilot and blind in one eye from being shot.

This guy just released the video today.

Wasn't so much new info, just think the presenter has a great way of doing it.

Think of it as a showcase for The History Guy and not the subject if you like.

Thanks for that link. I remember when that happened but I never knew anything about the cause. Also I thought it as a failed takeoff rather than a loss of power during landing. It was pretty close to Sully putting down in the Hudson but they saved all the people and the plane.
