This thing is so contagious there is no stopping or containing it. Hiding at home another week, month, whatever won't do it.

Does this mean corona challenge airplane toilet seat licker girl and grocery store cougher woman are to be praised in getting us back to work quicker?

We have a societal tolerance for heart disease, cancer, seasonal flu, pneumonia, emphysema, stroke, etc. None of those are ever going away.

Add this virus to the list. It’s not going away. Even with a vaccine, it will have a mortality rate that we will just have to tolerate.

Frick that mess. I’m not letting them stick my kid with something that has no studies on its side effects.

I really think true. I don't think we can stop the spread at this point.

Fact: people are asymptomatic carriers.
Fact: People have to buy groceries and other goods... some of them are essential workers.
Fact: Unless you use hospital grade PPE and procedures those masks and gloves ain't doing shite for you

Given the above facts, I just don't see how it's possible to stop the spread

It's a highly contagious respiratory disease that doesn't die out in heat.

DHS scientist have determined COVID19 does not survive long in high heat and humidity, and is quickly killed by UV light such as sunshine.

The spread will stop when we achieve herd immunity which occurs when enough people have been infected and have antibodies that the virus no longer has a new host to jump too.

Unfortunately the longer we continue to shelter n place/ social distance the longer it will take, but we will achieve herd immunity long before a vaccine is available.
