Here’s the developer’s webpage

COMING SOON!!!!!!!

Why is the entire thing in CAPS except for “Baton Rouge”? And why did he add 7 exclamation marks to a CTA button? This is not a legitimate business.

Chambers, who ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this year and is now mulling a run against incumbent U.S. Sen. John Kennedy, says the city-parish gives lucrative tax breaks to white developers “all the time” without raising questions, and enriches established developers and contractors by approving change orders to public construction contracts. “Nobody ever questions that,” he says. “But one little batch of money goes to some black guys and it’s a story.”

"Established developers" is the key phrase, Gravy. Not some start-up with a cool website and a few renovations to their credit.

I love how Gravy thinks that the government just funds everything white people do in South BR.

The businesses and development is funded by people putting their ask at risk. Gravy doesn't understand the concept of not spending other people's money

Someone else beat me to the Sopranos clip. This was basically a Sopranos episode. Somebody has been catching up on their tv watching.

“There was no auditing to be done at Grambling because no books are kept at Grambling.” - LA legislative auditor on what happened to beautification funds given to Grambling

If they didn’t smack down a shitty HBCU for either stealing money outright or a basic lack of bookkeeping for state provided funds, they won’t say shite about SWB.

Gravy follows the “leaders” like Chauna Banks, who once bitched about the parish putting money into what became Renaissance Hotel in St George and them not doing the same thing around the BR airport.

How many luxury hotel chains would put up new hotels in NBR?

Would Knights Inn or Motel 6 invest in there these days?

People would probably rather stay at the Scenic Motel on 61, which looks like a filming site from a horror movie.

Reminds me of the 200k government contract Clay Young got to put minimum wage workers in BRPD’s real time crime center to repost DOTD traffic updates a few times a day.

Lucrative government contracts to unqualified or uncompetitive bidders is the blueprint for her third term.

Please remember to vote in November ‘24.
