Which is precisely what I've stated, Jethro.

I'll wait for your proof.

The most impressive part of this shot was being able to see and positively identify a target through a building and two windows.

Sure we do. It's 100 yards with a rifle. Add any layers of "difficulty" you like, and it will still be 100 yards with a rifle.

If you're all fairly confident you couldn't hit a target at 100 yards with a rifle you're proficient with, I'd suggest more and better training.

I have to agree here. This was one of BRPD's Snipers. A 100 yard shot should be a walk in the park for someone who probably trains for this scenario more than the average street cop.

All 100 yard shots are equal?

Weird. Your universe is much simpler than mine.

I don't care if the dude was doing backflips off a midget's head, at 100 yards you should be able to hit the target.

You need to lay off the Call of Duty.

Heres to hoping that white devils are responsible for his eternal keeping. Sack of shite is a sack of shite.... and anyone who agrees with this sack of shite should die a slow and painful death. They picked three of our communities finest... not scumbag corrupt officers, but our finest over some fabricated bullshite spewed by our jackass in chief and his cronies.

RIP officers. Thank you.

The adrenaline alone has to be accounted for. This guy probably hasn't had to kill a human being in a while unless he's recent military. Throw in the fact that he knows at this point his friends are dead and this guy he's targeting is ruthless and on the move. But yeah, a 100yd shot is a 100yd shot is a 100yd shot.

WTF is wrong with some of you?

I don't care if he shot him from 10 yards, it was a heck of a shot that likely saved more lives. Sure it's not a world record distance or anything. But it was a shot that was executed perfectly and did the job.

Everybody can do that, but can you bend bullets like Angelina Jolie?

There are a lot of things that could make that a difficult shot.

Well no fricking shite, he could have been blindfolded for all we know, he could have had a fricking lizard crawling up his nose

quote:

No one knows how difficult a shot it was. How long he had to sight the target and how much of the target was visible has a lot to do with degree of difficulty

Thanks Capt Obvious

Must be. It seems you're under the impression he curved the round into a window and behind a wall. If he confirmed his target, and I hope he did, he saw his target. From there, it's basic marksmanship.

If you hang around the OT long enough, you'll find people will argue anything.

I mean anything. It's crazy.

You're a simple kind of fella.

There are many factors that can increase the degree of difficulty for any shot at even a routine distance.

Why are you fricking doing this? Quit being an a-hole about this shite already. You're diminishing what happened Sunday morning whether you mean to or not. Just knock it off already.

Sounds like some CoD mythology. This guy didn't walk out of his PT Home Depot job and decide to go play SWAT for the day.
