Man I still think Nonna Randazzo's may be the best king cake over here.
But I had some other good ones. Cajun Pecan House has some blueberry type that was good. Loretta's praline king cake was good. I think it was Sweet Savors that had the traditional one with what seemed like extra cinnamon that was on point....
A lot of people try too hard with the king cakes and get too far away from what a KC supposed to be.
oh and double bourbon and coke after a monsoon from PortoCall

Saint when does the Mardi Gras fall this year? Honestly the one thing I wish my kids out here would have got experience would have been Mardi Gras. They never been. NO throw me something Mr., NO wad of beads to the face in 30 degree temperatures, etc. DAMN SHAME

I had an ooey gooey king cake that was pretty good but I don't think the best king cake can be anything other than traditional.
