I thought overall the card was solid, both 3 man/women tags weren’t necessary

Iyo and Liv tore the house down in my opinion

Solid night 1.

Iyo vs Liv was great. Oba vs Brock was to short. Bella Twins match was awful. Rest were solid. I'm liking face Solo. Pew Pew.

I give Night 1 a 5.5/10. A little above average, but nothing to write home about.

Highlights:
- Liv/Iyo was MOTN
- The Aldis pop
- Punk/Cody was a 30 minute match that I could’ve watched for another 30 minutes
- Fallon doing the Nikki Bella dance. I have firmly stated that Fallon is the hottest woman on the roster for the last five years.

Lowlights:
- Anything that the Bella’s did
- Aldis was a hair slow in the ring and for it being my most anticipated match of the night didn’t really live up to expectations
- Main event was decidedly mid
- There was no reason for that 6-man tag to exist

Brock must really like Oba too

I believe Brock knew Oba before Oba joined the WWE -- or knew of. Oba was a champion shot putter the same time Brock's daughter was competing in the same event. They likely crossed paths. Not saying they were best friends, but Brock probably recognized him when he joined the company and took him under his wing or put in a good word here and there.

it was kinda stupid for orton not to help cody win...so when they have their inevitable feud the wwe title is up for grabs. logic like this is why triple h sucks

i think wwe blew it on oba...the boo birds/disinterest in him isnt far away because of how he has been booked....shocker....the forcing the torch passing just rubs me the wrong way like we are morons and dont get that already.the time to put the strap on him was the night after mania. they better be careful how they book him although a little heel turn.....

Just finished night 1. I knew all of the out comes so I was able to enjoy and watch the matches.

Skipped Liv vs Iyo. They usually have great matches

Bloodline vs the 3 was fun, Solo is a different level right now

The women's triple threat match skipped

Cody vs CM punk watch the back half. Punk total botched the sunset flip (but LA Knight can't be champ bc he botches) the run it was cool. I wonder who will chase CM Punk

Oba Brock was cool, the no sell of the tombstone was not as bad as I thought it was going to. I did like how both men sold the beating after the march. Oba looked like he was going to cry a couple times realizing what Brock just did for him and putting him over. Brocks speech was cool and felt genuine

I mean, it was an ok match, but what was new? This already happened. They forced Brock to come back for this. The first retirement was much better and real. This was just Brock filling out his dates.

I'm already tettering on falling asleep. Doing 6 hours of Preshow like it's the freaking Super Bowl is ridiculous. I can't believe they only gave a 5 minute nod to them being in the cradle of the 80s Golden Era. The Robbinsdale class of 1976 deserves its own documentary. Many of those guys were trained by Verne (or guys who were trained by Verne).

There's a lot of territory-centric (namely AWA content) Youtube productions that maybe as well done by podcasters, but that's a good idea.
