27-7. , Seriously, Acadiana fans.were great compared to South Lafourche, lol.
Bonnabel turned into an Urban Jungle. Had some decent teams through the 80's, early 90's but has been crap ever since.. Not one member of that 77 team had kids attend that school, they all went to Curtis, Rummel, Brother Martin, etc.

quote:

Two thirds of high school kids smoked weed in the 70s? Yea, I'm not buying that

My mother admitted to smoking weed in high school in the 70's and she is a saint.

Legal drinking age was 18 back then too. I simply think high schoolers back then acted more like college kids do today.

So wait, I’m to believe that in spite of the fact there is literally a head shop on every single corner in society today to our like one or 2 in the entire city back in the 70’s, and I literally smell weed being consumed all day long today compared to back then, but we smoked a third more weed back in the 70’s than today????

bullshite. Calling it.

Different schools had different environments.

I was in high school in the mid 70s and those number seem high to me. I'd say 80% had tried alcohol, maybe 40% had tried tobacco, and about 30% had tried pot. Now, all that stuff was readily available. Mushrooms were probably up there with pot because they too were readily available. There wasn't much else, except for the real druggies, which were few.

My wife's high school was much more into all that, probably closer to the numbers in the original post.
