Tell me what? That my wife drives a solid vehicle that has traditionally been associated with lesbians in the US? Yeah, I know. Still a great car and my wife is heterosexual.

Oil consumption
Higher oil consumption is a one of the negatives of horizontally opposed (boxer) engines. It is because oil pools at the bottom of the bores, and gravity doesn't cause it to drain back into the pan when it isn't running like it does in a V or inline engine so it tends to burn off more when it is first started.

Subaru’s are solid vehicles and one of the safest on the market.
I’d definitely consider buying one.
I've only heard good things about them from people I know who have had them. They say they are dependable and are great in snow and mud. None of them are gay and one rode with Patton. I would buy one. Not really concerned about other people's stereotypes.
