I have a job and a degree but counter to when I started the outside look and room for growth is shite. Eventually AI will phase out most admin jobs. I went back to school and am currently getting a trade because the college dream was a scam.
You can do well with trades. I tell my students we will always need people who can push a shovel well, build cabinets, and run an electric wire. Not everyone needs to go to college to be successful, but you better be ready to work and work outside.
There will always be a need for teachers. I know people bash them, but at the end of the day my salary is okay, my insurance is pretty awesome, and having holidays / summers off is really awesome. If you get a skill like carpentry you can do a lot of side projects for cash and supplement your income like crazy. Just having holidays off to not have to find childcare is huge for us. I know my work calendar before the year even begins.

They learned it from their parents. My grandmother (born 1925) was a notoriously bad tipper. She never factored in inflation and would always tip the waiter/waitress $2.00 no matter the bill.

Those evil boomers also grew up in a time where everything you experienced anywhere was part of the service that business provided.
My parents are boomers. Like many in south louisiana, they grew up poor. Yeah, I know, right? Impossible from what the media and progressives tell you.
When they were growing up, if they could afford to go eat anywhere, providing a huge tip to everyone that worked in the place they went to was a foreign concept.
Not excusing anything, just sharing what older folks have told me.
Also, tipping has gotten out of hand. If I order something on the phone and go pick it up at your place, I'm not tipping you. When I worked in the service industry I would have never dreamed of asking someone for a tip for something like a pick up order, but here we are.

They have zero concept of incremental spending. Its the world they grew up in and their schools/parents didnt teach them.

I would argue most of us have parents that are boomers.
I love boomers.

Boomers keep showing they are the soft men who created hard times. The wealthiest generation who stole the wealth from their grandkids and left them with the debt while they hoard every last dollar they can to the grave.
The difference in those numbers is about $1 on a $50 tab and less than $5 on a $200 dinner bill.
It's not even a quarter on something like coffee at Starbucks. I'm not a boomer but you loser anti-boomer subtards are incredibly stupid and an embarrassment to our nation. Boomers didn't create things like Social Security or Medicare / Medicaid but brain dead dolts like you will never be able to figure that out because you can't do basic math.
Boomers didn't fleece this nation - DC fleeced this nation but people like you can't figure that out. You're too dumb to pour piss out of a boot and just go around whining and crying and blaming everything in the world on every group but the one responsible.
It's amazing that you can get through a day without walking into traffic.

We have been keeping this bitch from falling off a cliff while the Boomers and Millennials who are cut from the same cloth whine about everything.
the most important gen xer is a trans humanist video game addicted degenerate who can't stop having children out of wedlock.

I wouldn't expect the generation that slashed US manufacturing by sending production to other countries to make a buck for themselves to understand.
You think boomers were leading the way in the late ‘60s/70s when the post WW II industrial boom was winding down and the country was in the midst of a recession?

Blame the unions. They got greedy and what was left of the domestic manufacturers at the point could no longer compete.
