Good breakdown. Yeah it's definitely possible that the study wasn't scrutinized enough. I tend to agree with other posters that white doctors are more likely to see higher risk pregnancies.

Great now the blacks are taking over the medical field too... first they took over basketball, then football... when is the white man ever gonna be able to ever get ahead. We gotta step up our game
Yea...

noting that about 13% of the U.S. population is Black, but just 5% of doctors are African
American
As more Indians immigrate or have kids here that 5% will shrink. They don’t mess around with education or wait for govt to get into medical field. Our primary for years has been an immigrant from Indian, and most of our specialists. I don’t think I have seen a black doctor in over a decade when I saw one kind of regularly before medical plans changed.
Another article at OP’s link mentions most likely cause while not realizing they keep implying we have to expect less from blacks including with their actions related to their own health than other races. We know it’s not their race nor racism towards them. It’s their culture that the media & left want to act like cannot be separated from their race, and therefore everyone else must adapt to their culture or be labeled as racist. Anyone trying to just get white people to change behavior to help blacks is doing nothing. They need to be addressing the problems within black culture that is causing problematic behavior and habits and treat those that don’t follow just like white trash are treated.

L&D Nurse here. I call bullshite on this study.... First of all black doctors are in much less supply than white docs, especially in specialties like neonatology...I would imagine it would take a huge data base to find a control group to make the study valid... ..or perhaps it was a small, invalid sample.
Second, the deaths I saw were usually preterm births or cord accidents (wrapped around the neck) .. rarely, it was for no apparent cause at all. I agree that black babies died at higher rates, but at the risk of somebody screaming racism, plenty of times the black stillborns were a direct result of illicit drug usage causing the placenta to seperate from the uterus, violence, or lack of prenatal care blocking the finding of emerging issues. It is widely known that blacks do not trust doctors at the same percentage as their white counterparts, and do not go to doctor as regularly.
Without context of what the causes of neonate deaths actually were, This study is a total load of biased bullshite.
