Anyone with any common sense would rank the ones who went to Harvard and Yale the highest. Remember they are working off first impressions. In the absence of additional data, your best bet is to choose the ones who went to selective universities.
People with common sense also understand that intelligence is distributed along a bell curve at Harvard, at Yale, and in the military. There is always going to be overlap. In other words, give everyone a chance.

30 seconds in and I guarantee I wouldn't get along with any of these people in real life, which probably says more about me than anything. Honestly, they all seem fake as shite, which I guess is the norm these days.
So in the end, none of them are much smarter than the rest of the group, not surprising. They all seem relatively successful in life, which to me just shows that hard work is more important than raw intelligence.

The average Harvard / Yale grad has a higher IQ than the average American. That’s a fact and shouldn’t be controversial. Of coarse, that doesn’t mean that every Ivy League grad necessarily has a high IQ, but in the absence of additional information, it’s a decent indicator.

The only girl in that group that I could stand having a beer with or being stuck next to them on a plane is the hot one. The guys all seem okay. The weird one even seems entertaining. But the angry black chick and Maria were painful to even listen to.

I am someone who thinks the hype around IQ is bullshite to some extent. I tested into gifted in middle school and always did well on standardized tests, so when I was younger, I assumed that would translate to the corporate world. It does to some extent, but IQ tests don’t measure your ability to find creative solutions to truly open ended problems. They also don’t measure your ambition or your ability to compartmentalize and handle stress. A baseline IQ is necessary to get your foot in the door of many high profile job roles, but beyond that, many other factors determine your success.

Five out of the six people in that video are college educated. The question is, would you expect a Harvard/Yale graduate to be smarter than the rest of the college group?
My answer would be no. And that would be especially true if the person was a minority.

If anything, maturity and confidence gives you a better level of focus for learning. That’s why there was an argument that experience plays a role in how these tests are structured.
Learning, processing speed, and reasoning are all components of intellectual ability. Multiple intelligence theory teases this is out.
