Outside oxford Miss in 80s, Devil worship on abandon church, never went but knew a girl that got hooked up in it ended in suicide pact, three died before they figured it out. Locals burned it down. I think it was covered in oxford eagle
In Jackson County I personally know of several murders where the victims were killed in satanic like rituals that were never released to public. (I have Great friends in DAs office) They were also high as kites so they listed as drug murders, but the picture were right out of a ducking horror movie.
Were they really big Satan worshipers or just really wasted don’t know as they never said

that's interesting considering there have been studies on this and they've found basically 0 evidence of these incidents

you need to watch the HBO documentary Paradise Lost. i imagine the facts are somewhat similar to that "satanic murder"
