I had it 2 years ago. 48 hours of no eating, vomiting, and uncontrollble shitting. I was afraid to go to sleep becuase the 2 times I fell asleep I literally shite the bed.
It passed after about 48 hours and then it took a few days to be able to regain all of energy.

I couldn't function for 7 days without having a trash can and toilet within 10 feet of me. Called out for repentance in my prayers for whatever sins I had committed all the while. I guess He forgave me on Day 8 
It was BAD. All in all I lost 9 pounds through the ordeal. 
I've gained 6 lbs back since! Woo!

well, you'll likely not listen.
but I had that....I drank liquid bentonite clay
the bug has an opposite charge to the clay,
and the clay absorbs the toxins.
you'll feel some instant relief right away
then you'll slowly recover.
you could also take some activated charcoal capsules, they absorb 1000x their weight in toxins
health food store for the liquid clay
drug store for the charcoal
or not....

It might sound stupid to many but what helped me the most was Gatorade.

I can vouch for the activated charcoal but that's really only going to work for food poisoning and if you take it pretty quickly. A stomach bug is very different but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try, I just don't know if I would want to vomit up charcoal. I have vomited up charcoal by the way, took it before drinking to see if ti helped with the hangover but it doesn't work if you drink as much as I did.

I either have a bug or bad acme yesterday. Been feeling like shite all day, stomach sounds like the last scenes of titanic. Finally just spewed up after fighting it back all day and it was the entire platter I ate yesterday. The reason I do t think it's a bug is I actually feel better now that I hurled
