Worth an email to see if the guy actually bought a boat. If so, get the numbers off the boat/plate.
ETA: Just emailed guy from craigslist ad to see if he ever got a boat.

Lots of folks in the area from out of town. I've heard of multiple houses being broken in to. I'd be for a quick trip to the Mississippi River with a brick tied to their feet.

I'm thinking the trailer will be empty someplace as the boat is likely being used plus if it was an opportunistic theft they might not have the right vehicle to tow it with??
Of course an empty trailer is going to look like a lot of other empty trailers.
Maybe send a search party of OT volunteers to help THIS volunteer. I wouldn't be surprised if the abandoned trailer would be relatively close to his home??

How many of the ramps are in a hidden or thick area seldom used?

I'm doing what I can I've already searched CL. Two were close and just posted today but one doesn't have a rhino liner and the other is Evinrude powered. Also looking for the Yamaha OB.
Maybe someone could check pawn shops for the Yamaha only?

It's fricked up that people do that. During Katrina, a friend of my Dad's took his boat down to New Orleans to try to help people get out of the flooded areas.
