It’s actually a great question. We’reexperiencing the same thing in Michigan and I’ve been chasing it down for a couple days. Seems that some large health systems or their purchasers (GPOs) were very proactive in procuring test kits. Some others came to the party a bit late and because kits were allocated, they’re just out of luck. This should change soon because Thermo Fisher Scientific (the primary manufacturer) has been granted the ability (by the FDA) to distribute kits directly to those in need. In just a few weeks, they can produce 5million kits per week. Right now, they’re producing less than 2 million.

Thanks wick, that was funny and we all need a laugh. Big public squabble over the test kit issue between mayor and medical director last night on TV.

Meanwhile in the city with no confirmed cases, infirmary is already out of ventilators, and Springhill is no longer accepting new patients. No clue what’s going on at USA but here it’s a complete zoo. I haven’t heard anything from Providence. In the people vs Covid 19 game we are getting our arse kicked in the first quarter

Word on the street is Baldwin County received wrong testing kits on Monday and are awaiting corrects kits to arrive.

The only conclusion is that you don't need them.
