Man...look, it's commendable that you are trying to be a good influence in these kids lives. But if they are there all the time...your relationship with her will suffer.

It's one thing if the dad is active in their life and has partial custody...but if you are playing daddy full time...you'll get burnt out.

It's one thing to try and play the step-parent role. It's another to be expected to treat both equally in terms of discipline needs and being accused of favoritism.

Mine listens. Yours doesn't. If I have to live with him he's going to be respectful. Tough shite. Not my fault I don't have to spend all my time telling my son how to act right.

I'm getting mad now. This shite is everyday lol

Could I be better? Of course. Could I be more sympathetic? Sure.

The problem is when you deal with it for so long, you get burnt out. Just like you mentioned.
