Has anything changed on the opening of dental offices? Still emergencies only, or are routine cleanings now acceptable?

Got call today from my dentist for crown replacement also to set up kids cleaning.

They originally closed because of the predicted supply demand issue with gloves, masks etc.

Thank God. I picked the wrong time to get braces!

May 11th is when my office opens for full service. Still emergency only in TX as of now. Though the state dental board was supposed to be appealing to Abbot today to let us open next week.

Which is still a huge problem. I'm sterilizing/autoclaving n95 masks for reuse. Cant get face shields. And disposable gowns/jackets are becoming scarce as well.

We're going to have to go the washable route to augment the disposable ones, but cloth gowns are frigging expensive
