State Trooper-issued ticket: Tougher to beat?

I was ticketed on I-10 in New Orleans East. I read that Trooper-issued tickets are processed/litigated in the parish where they are issued. Every ticket I've ever been issued has been whittled down to a nonmoving violation -- but these have all been issued by New Orleans cops or Jefferson Parish deputies. Is it tougher to "beat" a Trooper-issued ticket? Are they more likely to show up for a court hearing/trial? Thanks for any info.

If you are meaning you are planning to bring the Trooper to court for a misdemeanor traffic ticket, prepare thy anus.
Just call the DAs office and ask about PTI. You will still have to pay a fine, but it will often keep it off your record.

Not if you know someone in that parish. The trooper doesn't matter. It's up to the DA to go forward.

No, pay a lawyer and he will get it down to a non-moving violation the same as any other speeding ticket. You had to be going really fast to get pulled over by a trooper in the East, they won't even look at a car unless it's going over 80.

Does it reference you to Orleans or St Tammany parish?
I got one from a trooper coming off the twin spans earlier this year (slidell side). It was St Tammany and they hit me for like $300

It was my bad. I am happy to pay a fine but just don't want it to affect my insurance costs. (Really, my mind was wandering as I drove because my psycho bitch ex is taking me back to court over child custody in a totally frivolous piece of litigation that nevertheless will cost me $10K to beat down.)

Talk to DA in said Parish.
If it isnt a LASE ticket they will reduce for you in most cases.

I would have not signed the ticket and told him to have a good day and then drive off.

They now have those public safety agents in the white car/green writing patrolling that stretch of highway to help out lsp and nopd. I got stopped by one a few weeks ago for speeding (he let me go) and that's what he told me. I've been seeing them out there more and more

Are you a dumbass? You would be enjoying a jail for doing that. Signing a ticket isn't an admission of guilt it's just saying you received it.
