Top take aways...

1. Overall, the risk of death is 14 to 84-fold lower in non-elderly people (<65)
2. For many hotbeds, the risk of death is in the same level roughly as dying from a car accident during daily commute.
3. People who are 40 to 65 years old may have about double that risk, while those 40 years old or younger have almost no risk at all of dying. Females may have 2-3 lower risk than males.

Side note, we suck at driving in LA. Road deaths in Louisiana are 15 per billion miles driven compared to 10 or less for most US states.

I know.

Saying you have a 1% or 0.1% chance of dying if you catch the disease won't mean much to the average person. When the average person can say your chances of dying are about the same as your morning commute, that'll get the public leaning hard to open back up.

Logic has nothing to do with this shutdown. It’s all about emotions.

Pretty sure this is just a big, important holiday- perhaps even a new "Holy Days"

Sounds like we need to shut down the roads in addition to the economy.

Just look at the weather over the last month. The actions of these governors have effectively ended global warming. If we open things back up now, we’re just dooming our planet by 2023.

I know this was said in sarcasm, but there are people out there who truly feel we should shut down all private roadways for "safety".

These of course are the same people that want every single person living in high-density urban centers and only take mass transit.
