Yeah, a little electricity today or tomorrow would be incredible, though....

We don’t have power yet, hope by tomorrow we will. Workers have been in the area all morning. I’m really close to Villere & Wilkerson.

Workers were all over here on 22 out by the parish line. Even saw a spectrum truck.

Theyve all moved on. We are hoping they are going to do what they did yesterday. Fix fix fix and at the end of the day energize everything they fixed.

That’s a fricking nut punch. I have not seen anything resembling a work crew near Marigny Trace or Labarre.

Well, my neighbors on Villere (Old Mandeville)just texted me to say the power just came on. However, we just got to Madisonville to stay at my girlfriend's cousin's house, while she is in Texas. I had already made breakfast poboys, started laundry, and turned on the TV, so we're staying here tonight!

We got power in Old Mandeville on Lamarque a couple hours ago.

House is cooling off a bit and got the lsu game streaming in the living room with some cold beers.

PSA: there's gas at the stations on Hwy 59 and 12. Going during the LSU game paid off!

FWIW, I got power back this evening and I thought I'd be in this group.

This is probably in response to everyone asking for a timeframe and expecting them to have the resources to communicate to the public like Entergy or Cleco.

Finally came back with my family after hopping from hotel room to a couple airbnbs for a week. Power lines from Robert Road to Abita are chewed the frick up on the east side. Power lines of the west side seem a little better. Seeing that info wst put out, I can see why they specifically mentioned hwy 59 in Abita. Finally gas by the interstate and lowes has shite to make the house livable till power turned back on. Got my wife and kids at the in laws house, who has power, and tomorrow I clean out a full rank fridge and get the house up and running. Thankful there is stuff here now, but man, frick this hurricane shite. Ready to move to Colorado Springs.

Bumping to say my place in Old Mandeville got power yesterday. Not sure about Spectrum but we never even got the modem from them so no worries.

I also want to add, I ordered a portable tri-fuel generator that can use Natural Gas and a Skyroam hotspot so next time we can stick around.

Next step is to get solar and battery banks. Screw the power companies, they have proven they have no interest in making storm resilient systems and will take all the costs of their screw ups and pass them to us.
