St John cops are only interested in writing traffic tickets and nothing else.

And no, I’ve never gotten a ticket or pulled over there but I see what they’re doing and it’s very clear
You sit in their meetings? You see the entire force out writing tickets? Or, is it a few enforcing traffic laws in a dumpy parish?

Is Kobe still open? Hibachi at Kobe’s used to be lights out.

Btw, you forgot the most obvious one:

Laplace - More car washes than actual cars.

Not sure about the car wash thing, but I thought the most obvious one would be Snake Farm... no clue if it's still there .

We’re probably close to the same age. I worked at Marathon in Garyville/Reserve prior to Covid. We would usually eat in Laplace for lunch and Kobe’s was a mainstay whenever we had the time. High quality Japanese, better IMO than Akari, which Laplace has as well.

The car wash thing was an inside joke for us. It seemed like there were 4-5 car washes just across the Walmart alone.

I use to drive from Metairie to LaPlace to hang out at Bum’s Tavern, fun place. Played in a band with a LaPlace guy, and dated two of Laplace’s finest. Good times…

Yes, Laplace did go to shite after Katrina.
