There is literally one final chance to save this parish from a complete and total exodus to Livingston and Ascension
That movement has been going on for 4 decades. Ascension I’d full to the brim unless you want to drive to Sorrento. Livingston is full to the brim unless you want to drive past Livingston. There is no more MASS EXODUS there’s no where to go. The biggest school in LA is Dutchtown High and 4 years before the new highschool is built to relieve that. Look at a map regeorge idiots. We are land locked past sorrento. There is no more room to go. BR is here and not going anywhere. Your money grab that’s falling to pieces (TRYING TO TIE IN CENTRAL IS PROOF) there’s a reason. You tried to make a ALL WHITE CITY in 2020’s and it’ll get slapped down from ever court to the top court. And by some chance it’s made all the big players have guaranteed BR they will annex the day of. St George if past will be the next Baker. FACTS.

I don’t believe anyone ever said they wanted an all white city. That sounds like something a racist would make up which is what you’re doing. You’re a fool. I won’t go into the logistics but it will be really funny to come back to this thread in 9 months.

Draws city lines and supports such around minority communities and calls me a racist.
You may get your city but you’ll lose all the business. The lines are all drawn look at the players that’s joined BR already setting up the annexation lines for complete corridors to jump ship from St George. You’re completely blind if you can’t see it. Womans and H&E tie in Industrial Plex Seigen corridor. Mall and General tie in Bluebonnet corridor. LSU and casino tie in west side of Burbank Nicholson corridor. You’re a blind fool if you can’t see what’s coming. And you’re statement of 9 months proves my point. Yes it may get passed I’ve said that but it is a dead man walking because you’ll have little business to pay yalls dreams. Therefore property taxes will have to be raised so high that everyone will bail so quickly it’ll be laughable. St G won’t be a city 10 years and will be begging BR to annex them in. These are the facts. You can blow fairytale dust and rainbows all you want but this is the reality. And just because you go to your HOa meetings and listen to rumors doesn’t make you an expert you FOOL.

From what I recall from this push years ago, it would have to pass a parish-wide vote to go onto the statewide ballot, and then have to pass again.
Sounds idiotic to me that someone who lives in freaking Many or Belle Chase can vote on whether or not people in East Baton Rouge Parish are allowed to set up an ISD.

St George will succeed because of the people in it.
"Leadership" is a concept for rudderless areas with little hope of improving.

The people in charge would rather let Baton Rouge become the next Jackson, though. Good luck.
Urban-democratic local leadership in LA is a literal "crab mentality". They will drag everyone down back into the bucket and claim success.

Half of what you think will be St George will annex either before or afterwards and it will resemble NOTHING like you blind backers think.
Again, crab mentality.
The city of BR loses fair and square, institutes a bullshite lawsuit to slow things down, and then uses that time to erode the vote of the people.
Tyrannical authoritarianism aimed at preventing improvement. And you are celebrating this and mocking people who say that this tyranny will be bad for EBR as a whole.

You're awfully riled up for someone who lives in Prairieville. Maybe the people who live here want some semblance of a better life? The City of BR is a dumpster fire of management, and it doesn't have to be this way.
I live in "St. George" and honestly would just like a safer place for my family. The City of BR is so poorly run, it's shocking, and I have no idea why people tolerate it. The EBR school system is equally horrible and probably too large to be managed well. To add, there seems to be a lot of double dipping going from tax revenue in unincorporated areas to service resources only available in the city limits.

There’s plenty of places to go outside of the state…which is exactly where all of the young productive law abiding professionals are going.
