FYI, if SG gets its own school district some students in SG will have to be bussed further than they are now.
What was your stat last thread? 5k students would be removed from their school. Remember that BS stat?

I think originally there would have been none, but after the recent defections there will probably be some.
Vague like this?
You live in prairieville or proposed st george?

It was speaking towards taxes. Before the recent tax base defections the property tax could have probably stayed the same. Since the businesses left it will probably go up some.

Neither. Jusy hate seeing citizens trying to get out of a shitty situation and being held back. I wouldn't want to go down with the Titanic.

It wasn't my stat. It was from an article in the paper about the number of gifted and magnet students who live in what would become St George but who currently attend schools outside of their area, such as for Baton Rouge Magnet High School, McKinley Magnet and others. Those students will not be allowed to continue to attend their current schools which would be out of their school district if a SG ISD is formed.
If you don't want to contribute anything of substance to these threads that's your business. But I won't continue to answer your insolent and ignorant questions.

What about the majority of households that don't use cats? That don't want to fund BR projects of which they receive no benefit.
Outside of the CATS buses on the old LSU routes, I've never set foot on a single bus. But I don't mind paying the additional tax for public transportation for those who need it. From my view it appears the new leadership with the added funding is moving in the right direction.

I live in the Houston area and there are villages (mini cities) all over within Houston. There's Central and Zachary. In the New Orleans area there's Gretna, Westwego, Kenner, and Harahan. These are little incorporated cities that have formed and survived, even thrived, for years. None of those are trying to de-corporate. Taxes are apparently bearable.
What makes the idea of SG so frightening to you?

I'm just going to ignore you.

All of those towns near NOLA are in a completely different parish.

Thanks. I couldn't bring myself to reply to his ignorance.

Whoa thanks for the education. Doesn't address the question and ignores the cities I mentioned in Houston and BR though.

I kept reading and saw nothing to answer my question but forget it, continue being a pompous shite

Houston is in a completely different state. Both Central and Zachary have significantly higher taxes for their city and school system. But the SG organizers are telling people no additional taxes are anticipated for SG.

What's different though? Same concept, little cities within one county.

Ok, fair enough. So it's simply a matter of taxes, and you don't think you'll see a proportionate benefit.

St. George, so arse backwards conservatives are suddenly FOR increasing taxes. So ridiculous, LSU fans are following a Bama grad to hell and back. So retarded, supporters think that a petition drive which took two fricking years with zero marketing against it has a shot in hell on any ballot.
Last gasp efforts which I totally support. This issue needs finality so you retards can go bitch about something else unimportant.
