St Charles Streetcar

Here is the deal. Got some friends coming to town for the Saints game Sunday. They are staying at the Hampton Inn at 3626 St Charles Ave. I'm not familiar with the route of the streetcar. They would like to take it to as close to the Superdome as they can get(which looks to be Carondelet and Howard 4 blocks away). Would anyone know where to get on it at? Is it close to the hotel? TIA

Catching it on the neutral ground on St. Charles would be a good bet...assuming it's running.

Might want to get off at Poydras. That's one of the streets that borders the Dome.
If you get off at Howard you'd have to go around the Greyhound/Amtrak station on Loyola.

You are one block away from my apartment on saint charles. The street car is running and you can take it to julia or poydras and walk over to the dome. Expect the street car to be packed as hell so you may want to leave early.

The streetcar is running now and runs right in front of their hotel. It stops at every other corner with stops marked by yellow signs that say "car stop." Get off at Poydras instead of the earlier stop. Just a little easier.
