He isn't dropping Rogan. It's a pretty bold stance in the face of ridiculous accusations from the left.
Not really. Rogan is censoring himself, Spotify is putting disclaimers on the podcasts, and if any of this is an indication of future shows, he's going to water down what he says and the types of people he has on.

These open apology statements are just templates. Just change your name and the group you’re apologizing, have some condemning statement, promise to do better. shite is real as a 3 dollar bill.

In the letter to his employees, the CEO wrote that Joe chose to remove those ~100 episodes. I’d be curious to know if they approached him and basically said if you remove these 100 episodes, we won’t put up any fight about your contract or something to that effect. It’s not like Joe sat around and listened to all of his own podcasts trying to sort out which ones could be offensive.

A huge chunk of the episodes he deleted were comedians. That's going to completely gut his show if he follows that game plan in future episodes. He's probably only going to have on comedians like Amy Schumer and Hannah Gadsby so they can talk about how the comedy patriarchy needs to be destroyed.

Funnily enough, I’m pretty sure an Amy Schumer episode was one of the ones deleted
I truly disagree with deleting any episodes. I think this was a mistake on Joe’s part.

If you listened to Joe's whole apology video he seems embarrassed and is ok with these removals.

I did. He seems sorry about the stuff highlighted in the compilation of saying the word that shouldn’t be said, but I think that the episodes removed don’t completely overlap with those instances.

There is such thing as compromise in order to move forward. This "all or nothing" attitude is why we're fricked, nothing actually gets done

It was, but I don't know how much it hurts him.
The people that were ready to ditch probably already ditched when he stopped doing his podcasts live.
Deleting them does absolutely nothing other than bringing more attention to the podcasts.

Rumble (YouTube alternative) just offered Rogan 100 million to switch to their platform, completely free of censorship.
A. They got 100 million?
B. They’re throwing around 100 million, there will be censorship eventually. The whole point of censorship is do what we say or you’ll lose a lot. You can only avoid it if you have nothing to lose

couldn't people just...i dunno
not listen to his show if they didn't like it or disagreed with the content?

And this is why private companies need to shut up and just do business without making such public political stances. Cancel culture is the biggest crock of shite out there with CRT and Joel Osteen.
Posted on 2/7/22 at 11:00 am to whatiknowsofar
in 10 years no one will even remember Joe Rogan.

Compromise is a good thing. Capitulating to the mob and deleting 100 episodes doesn’t seem like a good compromise.

I think the episodes he took down, which were all old and pre China/DNC Virus episodes, were episodes that included the nagger this and nagger that silliness. Probably some fig this and tranny that too.
I don't really know or care. Based on the guests of the shows that were removed it wasn't any of his "anti establishment" or free thinking type content.
Just some salty language stuff.
Everyone should probably just take their panties out of their pussy lips and simmer down a bit on this subject. Stop being such queers about it.

Funny how it's never the woke cancel culture brigade that compromises.

To be fair, many people said he was going to do just that when he signed the Spotify deal. They were so convinced that Rogan was going to "bend the knee" that they kept actively looking for a sign that he was "bending the knee". It didn't happen, and here we are with his not bending the knee stirring up attention.
Maybe he does now. Maybe he, and the Spotify CEO, knows how the 2022 game is played. I can tell you that they both surely know that his listenership is likely to be higher than it has ever been after the past couple weeks he's had, and that is all that really matters to everyone directly involved in the situation.

curious what type of guests he will have on the next month
I wanted him to have a "pro vaccine" person on before all this shite went down just to have that balance, but now if/when he does, it will be seen as "bending the knee"

I have a feeling he's going to lose some listeners because of this and if he creates his show around having to prevent their deletion, then he'll be in the toilet pretty quickly
