Pretty much how I felt. For me, the craving never really went away. I had a tendency to be a pretty heavy smoker.

Quit cold turkey in 2010, basically because smoking is deadly.

What you described is a type of causality, being as we're accounting for (a) correlation, (b) time order and (c) potential spurious and/or moderating factors.

Most empiricists consider causality to be a probabilistic rather than a deterministic concept. In other words, physical responses to smoking vary stochastically in a normally distributed population sample.

It was easier for me to quit smoking that pack and 1/2 a day than it is for me to get motivated to exercise and lose weight.

It was crazy how fast I gained weight after I quit.

Why? This is really, really stupid. One stinks up your clothes and one does not. One is way less harmful to your health as well. So you would rather the one that stinks and is really bad for your health?

Sounds like you have good willpower but are just lazy.

I quit because my future (now current) wife wanted me to. I loved smoking cigarettes and overdid it big time. I'm a lot healthier now ... cough less, get sick less, and generally feel better. I still miss it every time I smell tobacco, though ... it doesn't even matter the brand or quality.

It will be 5 years next month that I threw my last pack. Wife, was girlfriend at the time, gave me the ultimatum of her or the smokes. The prospect of not having sex 5 times a week horrified me so I quit. Then I got married and had a kid and the sex stopped anyway. After about 3 years it got to the point that I can't even stand being around them. Always make sure I'm upwind when around my friends that do so I don't get sick.

How so? I can see it with the dorks with giant light saber vapes who flaunt it but if someone vapes and is respectful about how they do it(not doing it indoors etc) why would it bother you? It does not stink everything up like cigarettes , is much better for you, and is a effective way for many people to quit smoking cigarettes.

I swear some people will bitch about any and everything. You bitch about people smoking cigarettes and how bad it smells and when people find something else that it less offensive smelling that helps them quit you bitch about that.

It's always one extreme or the other with this

I talked to people that quit 20 years ago and still crave them everyday and some that can't stand to be around them.

No but I used electric cigarettes to quit smoking three years ago. I wouldnt use it in public places. Only in my vehicle and at home. I do not see what is wrong with this.
