Just pick one but make damn sure that if any children are involved, that they're are loved and taken care of and not used as pawns in the divorce proceedings.

Are you loaded? Serious question.

Kids? Own home? Assets? etc.

Give us something

Is there a woman involved? If so, good luck with that.

Not anymore, lol

I'm sure you get the picture.

There is a formula for child support calculations available online. Start there and know what to expect.

Hope it's amicable my friend. It's all about the kids now, but she will use them for the check.

I know plenty in Lafayette. Normal is for them to request 3-5k up front.

I don't know where y'all stand, or why its falling apart, but just don't get caughht where she's running up debt that you'll be responsible for as well (debt before you file)

If somehow y'all agree on everything, May just hire a mediator and save a bunch on both attorney fees (you'll be responsible for hers as well)

Nahh do a little research and avoid Lisa Prater. I could have paid $6k to a horses arse and had better representation.

Offer the house instead of alimony. I say this b/c, You will pay child support in this state b/c of our income shares model regardless of custody arrangement. Income Shares Model

The mentioned attorneys are good. Good luck. Never talk bad about your ex. And until she's an ex, don't talk to her.
Get out of the house NOW to formally separate(have to split a year before divorce with kids in La).
