Spinoff of Tesla thread

Finally took the plunge from the other thread on Full Self-Driving (Supervised) and buying my first Tesla. So far I am enjoying how everything is App driven including the 0% for 60 months promotion, and the App just notified me that my VIN has been assigned.
But what pisses me off is that even though Nola has a service center, I have to go to Pensacola in a month to take delivery. So if this is a Louisiana legislative thing to bend the knee to other car dealerships, then why are we allowed a Service Center in this state but not a Delivery pickup point? I remembered reading about this like 15 years ago, but thought in the year 2025 that Louisiana would have gotten its shite together by now.

Really considering one, but then realized they don't come with a spare tire. Makes me a little nervous on Louisiana roads. Also, would I have to go to Nola to repair a flat tire?

The trunk space is huge, you can easily buy a donut kit online for $300 to $400 which is what I'm planning on doing.

Cool good to know thanks! What model you going with?

I did the Long Range Model 3 rear wheel with the FSD add on. White pearl exterior and white leather interior. I'm giving up performance with the AWD for better range. I'm going to let my son drive it so it made not getting the 0-60 2.9 seconds performance model a little easier decision.

Lots of new cars don't come with a spare anymore... you get a tire repair kit with a shitty little air compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter instead

Do you think Tesla makes tires?

You know what’s the hardest part about buying an electric car?
Telling your parents that you’re gay

Do yourself a favor and replace with Sailun EV tires when the time comes. Thicker compound equates to quieter, less wear, and less time between tire replacement. I've driven my model 3 130,000 miles in 3 years and have zero complaints and no battery degradation

Germany called and wants this stale joke back from 2014. Get new material.

No spare tire because the battery is so heavy, can’t jack up the car anyways. If you get a flat have to get it towed.

I don’t know if they just make better tires nowadays or what but I haven’t had a flat tire in probably at least 15 years. I guess if you drive around a lot of constructions sites or things like that nails would be an issue but if you’re doing that you’re probably not a Tesla guy anyways.
