My interior is nearly spotless, except for two nasty strips of black where my elbow touches the door armrest and the center console.

Any way to clean and revive the leather or do I just need to buy a new car?

ETA: now I know why people get black leather

Get those areas recovered by a pro. I know a guy that does leather upholstery for cars, boats, couches and you can’t tell his work from the factory.

Get and wear elbow pads like Baylor & Ewing used for you to wear whilst driving.

Once the insides of the pads become full of nasty and black strips, simply throw them away.

If you’re talking about stuff in the grains of the leather, I use those Clorox wipes.
Doesn’t hurt the plastics or leather. I figure heavy usage would fade the color/dye, over time. But if you make sure you Armor All or whatever conditioning you use, I don’t see any problems.

1. Bathe more often and wash your arms with soap and washcloth.

2. Wear long sleeved shirts.

3. Sleeve tats?

4. Stop slouching.
