Her remember when Facebook went public at 38 a share. Masses on the OT laughed and predicted it it would struggle and that FB users would level off and it would be replaced in a few years by the next latest and greatest.
I just don't get the hate for Facebook
well...
It's at 110 and why all the hate?

Not sure I did it on here, but I was one that didn't think FB stock would do well long term, and I appear to have been wrong. Oh well

Does that facebook stock include instagram? Doesnt facebook own instagram? If so, thats probably why it continues to do well.
I personally dont mind instagram that much. No textual outlet for liberals to post their self-righteous bullshite

Same here. I still feel stupid about it. I just greatly underestimated the number of dummys in this world who get off on using that demonic website. It's a drug really. Should have been a no brainer. When Chicken gets wise and TD goes public I'll be buying hand over fist.

Do you feel conflicted when a black cop commits suicide?

Has a mirage ever quenched your thirst?

It's because FB isn't FB anymore.... It's just a long stream of "click bait" and promos. When people finally get sick of it the stock will fall.

I purchased FB stock on their IPO day and haven't sold a share.

Wrong. They are starting to pivot into different revenue streams. Oculus could be a huge revenue stream if VR takes off like the analysts expect.

I opened up a facebook account when it was open for only people with a university email address. When it opened to the general public you couldn't post the stuff you could post when it was just your friends who saw your page.
The general public starts joining and all of a sudden, without thinking much about it at first, I accept friend request from people I knew of, people I haven't talked with in years, etc and before you know it, you have a facebook page that is a complete shite fest. I ended up deleting my account years ago & have no interest in joining again.

I don't have any love for Facebook but I don;t hate it. It has its place: maintaining an illusion of contact with relatives and friends that I don't like enough to call.

Zuckerberg, et al are concerned about this. "Content Collapse" is a thing. ie, people are posting significantly less original content-photos, status updates, etc. That's the kind of stuff that keeps users engaged. FB is concerned about turning into just another link aggregator, and with reason-I don't know about you, but I will look at, and maybe comment on a picture or status update. I usually just ignore any links that people post, especially if they're clickbait or political in any way.
That said, IYAM FB has reached a critical mass and isn't going anywhere. The kids may not be using it any more, but they will when they reach adulthood, because it's so damn intertwined in people's lives now that it's inconvenient not to have it.
