I agree with tigerjjs that there’s not much better than a nice evening with a beautiful sunset, a cold drink, and good steaks on the grill. Bonus points if kids are bathed and ready for bed and it’s Friday before a long weekend.

What is your perfect setting for chilling?

Mid 50’s, fire pit, good w33d, good drink, and good music playing.

Grilling steaks at the camp after a great day of fishing is pretty much my ideal. But it ain’t like I’ve only got one environment for relaxing.

Thanks bro! A cool clear weekend evening with a few friends, grilling/cooking with some good conversation and quality booze can’t be beat.

Having the free steaks you are grilling.
By the way thanks.
What type of beer you have in the fridge for me to drink?

Drinking coffee looking out at a Florida beach and thinking to myself, “this is the same view that Spanish explorers saw 500+ years ago, unchanged”

My refuge used to be a nice backcountry hiking trail, camping out under the stars and sipping whiskey by the fire while cooking a nice meal over the coals. Now that I don’t get to venture out as often, I have found harmony where I never expected it in meal prepping Sunday evenings. At 6:00pm I’ll fire up the charcoal grill and have a beer and play fetch with my dogs, it’s euphoric and an almost religious experience. I am reminded of what is important in life, and the stress of the work week melts away for a spell. I can feel the old man energy oozing out of me as I type this, but it is what it is.

Low or mid 60s, fire pit, small river flowing over rocks in the background, and a bottle of Redbreast. At least, that is what I did Friday night.
