I looked at topography map. There are stretches of sand ridges that can be reinforced.
NASA’s site at the cape was the same way

I've hunted there when there was still drilling for oil. All transportation by water, not even a board road Even "high ground", per topography requires driving friction piles "to China" just to set a crane on.

What’s going to happen when one of Elon’s little rockets malfunctions and crashes into Tiger Stadium or the Superdome.

These same people up in arms couldn’t even find Pecan Island or Freshwater City on a map. They will not even notice a difference in their daily lives. The exclusion zone is just marsh.

ABBEVILLE, La. — According to The Advocate, Governor Jeff Landry is inviting hundreds of business leaders and Louisiana elected officials to Abbeville next week to announce that Elon Musk's company SpaceX is planning to build a multibillion-dollar spaceport on a stretch of the coast about 45 miles southwest of Lafayette.

The only thing that can top this is if Black’s Oyster Bar would re-open.

Well, the plan is to launch southward into a polar orbit, so I don’t think that’ll be an issue.

Left chick who moved to New Orleans from New Jersey has a funded social justice/environmental quality group opposing it. She is also anti LNG plants because "big ships" when bigger used to come up the ship channel

Do you have a name? I’ve tried doing a search and I can’t find anyone in particular that’s not from Pecan Island.
