Your boy just needs to learn how to run from the cops better. We did it all the time back in the country. Ingenious Broussard Police Department got a cruiser stuck in mud trying to chase us.
And officer Morvant if you reading this…. You still a POS. Enjoy that desk duty.

Maybe not directly by YOU.
But you know your son is breaking the law. How many tickets can a 14 year old get for that?
Not to mention...you obviously have neighbors who are not ok with it.
In the good old days we would ride in the ditch, off the road, to get where we wanted to go. We lived in an area where there was room...and gravel driveways became ramps.

There’s an 11 year old kid in my hood who rides a fricking dirt bike on the road. You parents today are crazy as hell.

If he hits another car or motorcycle, exactly what auto insurance does this 14 yr old have? Or if he runs over some old lady? There are reasons for some laws. And if you knowingly and repeatedly encourage your minor child to break the law, yes, you can be arrested and charged with failure to supervise or contributing to delinquency. I don't know why this should be confusing.

Years ago my 14 year old cousin was out riding his 4 wheeler, turned it over , and the steering column punctured his lung and he died. Sometimes the rules are there to protect people from themselves.
Was he breaking the law?

I hear you… this would have never happened in the late 80’s/early 90’s.
Bull crap
This is how I had to say goodbye to my gocart in 1982, cop showed up and told my dad if if caught me on it again he’d take the gocart and arrest someone
I loved that gocart

he wants to be that “cool” dad, instead of teaching the kid about rules and delayed gratification he wants everyone to be outraged that his kid should have to follow rules

All this trouble just so your kid can ride a 4-wheeler. Yikes.

Nah, he's real careful. Here's some footage of him back when he had his dirt bike

Yeah... um, no. He's currently grounded. He has no problem following rules, as stated prior. However, I do understand his dilemma. I guess I'll just get a trailer and that'll solve the problem.

I just live in an area where police don’t respond and everyone breaks the law constantly- so I’m getting soft in my old age

I just sold the 4 wheeler and got a golf cart…cops are accustomed to kids driving those around. Solved it…and he got his real drivers license today.
Posted on 3/6/23 at 8:33 pm to Gaston
Same neighbor complained about golf carts being driven around. Ironically, one of the kids he complained about was a cop's son
