Son Enlisting in Marines -- Question about MEPS

My eldest will enlist shortly. After the interview, he goes to MEPS for screening.
Any advice? Any pitfalls to avoid? Descriptions of the process? Things to do? Not to do? All advice appreciated.
Note: I posted about a year ago about his military plans. Tried to update the original but it was anchored. Thanks to all who offered advice back then.

Did MEPS in October. Tell him to say no to everything that could get him medically DQ'd and get ready for a long day of hurry up and wait. I was there as a potential officer so I had it easier as I didn't have to wait as much, but the enlisted guys did a lot of sitting around.

MEPS is pretty straight forward. A piss test and a basic physical.

This is the worst part of MEPS.

That's about all I remember besides waking up early and waiting all day.

A super old man doctor is going to look at your sons balls. Then he is going to piss in a cup. After that, a recruiter is going to ask him questions about legal history. That's it.
The shittiness is going to give him a real taste of what he has to look forward to in the Marines.

The first introduction to standing by. It's fun

Back in '93 (Navy) it was a long day of nothing to do. I went in knowing what my rate was going to be, but took the nuke test because I had 2 hours to waste, failed miserably. I remember playing pool pretty much all day.
Thanks for his service and your supporting his decision!

It was the same in '98, when I went through, and '07 when I worked there.

Piece of cake day. Tell him to relax and be honest if he has nothing to hide. Worst part was the long day of hurrying up and waiting.

Da frick? There was no pool in 03 that I was aware of, and I got "lost" once or twice.

The only advice I can offer is to wear boxer shorts.

Here's the drill:
o Keep your mouth shut
o Do what you're told
o Never volunteer

Tell him not to piss off the people taking his blood.

Tell him to get ready to be yelled at by old black ladies all day
