Why do people like a gas station so much? What kind of psychopath wants to use a restroom at a gas station, and why do people want to eat there?

Always a gas pump available. No waiting.

The only brisket sammich I ever ate there was like the meat had been run through a blender, then mixed with sauce. It was more like a Sloppy Joe, but not quite as much texture. Florida has at least 3 Buc-ees, but none between Tampa and Orlando. That is a huge population area to pass on.

Bathrooms are probably cleaner than your bathroom at home. Food is actually not bad at all. Much better than the shite you get at 711. Just a texas-sized gas station with good food and clean restrooms pretty much.

Because the majority of Americans are fat and its cheaper to eat slop than it is to eat healthy

Myself, they have some really good choices for some gas station grub and cheap drinks. Kids love all the other crap in there as well.

Side note: There is a Buc-ee's on the way to my favorite lake in Texas and the breakfast burritos paired with a coffee are an excellent way to start a day on the water.

The one down the road from my house before you get to Pensacola is pretty cool. I can see the appeal to a weary traveler wanting to take a dump in a clean, private bathroom, and stretch their legs. That sliced brisket sandwich is pretty damn good to me right along with the smoked turkey and sausage sandwich. The 20 different kinds of beef jerky is good snack food. Wish every gas station sold high end sunglasses, $1,500 smokers, cool apparel, cast iron skillets, high end fish fryers, post oak for my smoker, deer feeders, and other useful stuff. About the only thing the one mine is missing is a shotgun and rifle section.

The Foley, AL location says "hold my beer".

Up until about a year ago, the only locations I had been to were in Texas, and I always wondered what was the point of all the gas pumps. Then I fricked up and went to the one in Foley. Pulling a camper. Never again.

Looking forward to the Pass Christian location opening up though.

I enjoyed it. Heard about it on here so we stopped. Driving w 3 kids to FL it was nice to stop and walk around. Felt safe unlike the usual find a gas station, wondering if you’ll get molested by bubba, not to say there wasn’t plenty of weirdos there.

I did get a buc ees blanket/throw it is soft as hell.

I wonder how I would have felt about Bucee’s if I had ever heard about it before I went. There wasn’t social media then and I didn’t know anyone else who had ever been. It was this insane place I couldn’t explain and I came back home and told fricking everyone I knew about it.

As others have said, the bathrooms are pretty much spotless, huge, and offer pretty decent privacy if you have to shite.

The brisket, pulled pork, and chicken sandwiches are excellent and they make them right there in front of you. The kolaches are really good. And one of my favorites is the baked potato salad.

I grill and smoke a lot at home, so I hit up the seasoning and bbq sauce section because they have some stuff I can’t find in NOLA.

And 5 lb tubs of bacon grease. They sell bacon grease.

Idk man I don't really use social media much, except snap and I just saw someone post a video and had to look it up. I visit my parents in Bham once a year, but I've been chilling in the NW for a while and didn't now if I had missed something.

Buccees is what happens when a great CEO keeps his vision and answers to no corporate boardroom politics and esg/Marxist bullshite that ruins everything decent and good.

The stores are privately owned and there is no board of directors... Obly the guy who founded the place 30+ yrs ago and silent business partner.. That's it.

Without all the corporate bullshite to try to 'maximize shareholder value', the basic starting worker there makes like $16/hr and gets 3 weeks of vacation right off the bat. Junior managers there also start out around 20/hr and they all supposedly have good benefits.

The food is also phenomenal for a 'truck stop' and the bathrooms are cleaned every half hour or more and you don't have to touch a damn thing when you there to do your business and eveyone gets a sense of privacy.

Bucees is wholly unique and one of a kind, and one of the best run businesses in the world.

Thats why people love it.

This topic has become the subject of like one post a month. Come to Texas and see for yourself, Baw. Or just use your shitty service stations and shut it
