Apparently they aren't doing grocery pickup right now either, at least in the Pensacola area, because all the people going into the store is such a better option...

Allows them to restock, clean, sanitize, etc without customer intrusion. Also a staffing issue given some are likely calling out to care for kids out of school.

The main reason I would guess is so they can roll out pallets and stock easier.
I worked at Sam's at one point and you have to be really careful and patient around customers to not bump into them when rolling out pallets of goods. Plus you have to wait for them to get out of the way.
This way they can go full out stock mode at night without having to work with dumbasses in their way.
