I read this thread back when I lurked. Must admit I hate limousine liberals. Currently looking for a place to buy some land where my descendants can ride out the collapse of western civilization. Mandeville is too cramped, covington is destined to be metairie 2.0, and in general louisiana is littered with targets for ICBMs - i've seen the strike maps, we'd get lit the frick up. And that's without looking at the weather.

Also I can make waaaaay more money in most other states. But they suck too. Most of my old USMC buddies in cali have abandoned it for Idaho, they were telling me to move a few years ago, now they're on facebook bitching about the avalanche of bluechecks that are moving in bringing their nonsense with them.

So I guess we didn’t all die because the north shore treated this completely differently than Nola.

And while we are at it, why are these people in covington with a bunch of white conservatives instead of in New Orleans with black Democrats? Seems like they would live owning restaurants there.
