Any second year lawyer who has had to deal with "experts" in litigation can tell you that there are a lot of very highly credentialed people out there that are full of shite and are more than happy to lie to push an agenda or satisfy those who are paying them.

No doubt.
IMO his job is to advocate how we can prevent the spread of diseases to both government and to the public. He's doing that. That doesn't mean you or I, or the governor for that matter, have to actually do that or agree that it's the best course of action for all of us.

I mostly was just chuckling at the OP calling him "some official" as if he is a random guy from a department that should have no idea about what they're talking about.

Exactly. I had a few professors in college that I swear must have needed help tying their shoe's in the morning and would get thrown out the damn door of a real company if they tried to work there.
Mr really smart Alex seems to have a problem with simple math as well.
