I don't know, normally I would agree with you, but it sounds similar to what we did at my work. Talked about letting everyone go so they could collect unemployment. Then decided to keep everyone on and get a ppp loan. Didn't get any complaints though. Shitty part is the loan wound up falling through so now having to pay employees out of pocket.

One thing about this story that doesn't make sense, and this happens with a lot of stories that I read, how exactly did this become a story? Did the owner go run to the paper to tell what happened? I mean, how exactly does a reporter find out about a story like this? Social media?
