Now, what about alcoholics?
Do you think more people are afflicted with diabetes from excess soft drinks or liver/kidney issues resulting from excess drinking? Your gotcha falls flat on its face.

10 leading causes in death in the USA... published in 2017.
Heart disease (#1) and diabetes (#7) are both higher than kidney disease (#9) and liver disease isn't on the list.
Plus cancer is #2 and artificial sweeteners in diet sodas have been linked to higher cancer rates.
Obviously all of that is conjecture due to all sorts of other factors... but it paints a nice picture.

This. I love the hypocritical fatty who doesn't drink and judges, but binges on donuts, soft drinks, and all things sugar.

Soda is nothing but bad for you... beer actually has nutrients....

Has anyone asked John Daly? Oh wait. . .

Cokes are worse. I cut them out as an experiment and did nothing else different with diet or exercise. Lost 13 lbs over a month. Haven't picked one up since.

Soda and beer have both led to plenty of people becoming overweight or obese.

You're right, it is conjecture. Just like everything about this thread.
