There are some serious legal (and arguably ethical) problems with mandating a vaccine just outright, but what will and should happen is the following:
- The first batches of the first few vaccines that come out will be given to those at high risk (elderly, immunocompromised, etc) and those who are at most risk of exposure (medical care providers, first responders, etc.)
- More data comes online about the risks and reactions to the vaccines, resulting in tweaks or the population favoring the safer and/or more effective versions
- The products will gradually become much more widely available
- Voluntary vaccinations will get us most of the way there in most parts of the country at this point
- Large organizations like school systems, universities, the military, large companies with close interaction, government organizations, anyone who works in a profession where they regularly interact with other people, and the like will mandate it - that will get us almost all the way there
- You'll probably still have sporadic flare ups from time to time that fizzle out

I'm in my late 60's. Never had a flu shot that I remember though I suppose I might have gotten one when I was young. Have never had the flu that I know of either though I have had bad sinus infections and several documented cases of bronchitis.
We have had only 10 documented Covid-19 deaths in our county and all were elderly nursing home residents. As such, I won't be taking any experimental vaccine.

It will be pure comedy when we spend a good fifteen trillion dollars on covid, find a vaccine, and thirty percent of the American morons won’t take it.

If it doesn't cause adverse reactions (like the initial Gardasil), I'll go ahead and get it. In that case the worst that can happen is it's ineffective and I'm no worse off than now.

Here we go... The Democrats are putting microchips small enough to pass through a syringe. My sources tell me that Bill Gates has been directly involved in production of said microchips.
