Is it really that difficult to talk to your children about sex and sexuality? I think trans people are more likely victims of mental illness than any sort of whacked out hormone condition, but if my kids ask why someone looks a certain way then, as a parent, it's my job to answer them, not fricking walk out with no explanation.

I do agree that parents who shelter their children or give their children a strong sense that they are literally scared of confronting those outside the mainstream are 100% giving their children ideas of what to do to REALLY frick mom or dad up in the head when they get older and more confrontational.
