Along with this film and Monty Python generally, Fawlty Towers (especially) TV show and A Fish Called Wanda IMO show John Cleese at his best.

Wickedly funny British satire offensive to many, they don’t make ‘em like that nowadays.

If went strutting about claiming to be king because some moistened bint hurled a scimitar at me, they'd put me away

That's my favorite scene.

Strange Creatures was good too

Also, you might enjoy Ripping Yarns

Not Cleese but Palin and another python, Terry Jones

Awesome.

Have seen 2001 and To Kill a Mockingbird in theaters and didn’t regret it.

2001 could’ve easily done as well today as a new release, just amazing on the big screen.

Saw the original "The Producers" shown in theaters for its 50th Anniversary and afterwards there was a live QA with Mel Brooks. It was phenomenal!

For anyone interested the Plaza Theater in Atlanta has been restored to almost original condition and in addition to first run movies they do a BUNCH of retro screenings in film. Its ran by the Atlanta Film Festival and it is top notch.

Fawlty Towers is hilarious. The Germans is one of the funniest TV shows ever aired.
