2022 GMC is going to have major interior update, is worth waiting on

Make sure they solved their transmission issues.
Class action coming from 2017 on.

I am nothing but happy with my 19 Ram. It’s been a solid truck, and the dealership hasn’t seen it since I bought it.

20 ram here. Drove all domestic full size and ram was the best. Not to mention ram was way more willing to negotiate than the others.

Looking at all vehicles compared around 54k sticker. Chevy and GMC wouldn't go lower than 50k. Got the ram at 42k

Since you have to get a V8, skip the Ford. No point in the F150 if you don’t get the ecoboost.

I had a 3.5L Ecoboost in my last F150. It’s one of the main reasons I went to GMC to have a V8.

That’s only with the 8 speed transmission.

I'd get an American made Tundra.

GMC > Chevy

It's the same thing

Same in general but all the GMC versions are slightly nicer in multiple ways. Slightly, but still a little nicer.

Ford people will defend Ford as usual, but I know too many people who have had nothing but problems with 35 years of Fords. Chevy has been through that as well but not as consistently bad, like the damn instrument cluster crap from the early to mid 2000s.

I am curious to see how prices trend until supply catches up and exceeds demand again. We are starting to see premium prices being paid on certain models of vehicles. What happens when this backlog of vehicles waiting for chips is released and then thousands of vehicles are released to lots. I am hoping there are major discounts to be had after .

Would be nice if this happened in the next 3-5 weeks. Because that’s about all the time I’ve got.

I have driven Fords and GMCs. The Chevy and GMC are the same truck. Just depends which trim you like better. Also Chevy and GMC bundle options differently sometimes to help dealers differentiate them a little. The Chevy and GMC literally come off the same line. It is not uncommon for a truck to show up at the dealer with mixed insignia on the vehicle - dealer actually told me that.

I hear you. My recommendation is cargurus and set your search area to maximum to see what prices are looking like in the whole country.

Ram looks great, no doubt. I’m just seduced by the power of the GM 6.2 and I like the Trail Boss looks.

The Ram 5.7 is fine though.

The 3.5 ecoboost looks to be a blast to drive but I know you said V8.

I guess you had issues with it? I haven’t owned one but it sounds fun to drive with all that power.

Fwiw I myself have a 5.7 Tundra.

Toyota Tundra most reliable truck made. CR has it head and shoulders above the others. Under worst used cars Chevy Silverado 1500 years 15,17,19-20. GMC same as Chevy. Ford F-150 17-18,20. Ram 2500 14,17-18. No Toyotas listed.

good luck.

Their about 15% more expensive due to supply

When the new body style rams came out in 20' I bout a limited 4x4 for 51k now they're about 65k. I've seen used ones with 30k miles going for mid 50's.

I'm thinking about getting the new F-150 powerboost but the 2022 tundra EV has me intrigued. It's supposed to be class leading in a bunch of areas that I like like power and mpg.

My current F150 has this “feature” as well. But it also has a button on the dash where I can turn it off. I noticed yesterday the Ram also had the same auto stop bypass switch. I think the Chevy is the only one of trucks that doesn’t have the button.

The Ram with the e-torque (Hemi + electric motor) has the start stop feature but the Ram with the Hemi only, doesn’t. The e-torque is the smoothest start/stop in the business. It also assists with engine braking which comes in handy while towing. That said, the AC in the Ram sucks.
